New Delhi 21st September 2017: The Public Enterprises Selection Board has held interview on 20th September 2017 for selection of candidate for the post of Managing Director, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and has recommended the name of Shri Saumendra Kumar Barua as MD NRL. He is presently holding the post of Director (Finance) at Numaligarh Refinery Limited.
He is Born in Oil Rich Upper Assam’s Dibrugarh town, 56-year-old Mr. S K Barua was earlier serving as General Manager (Finance) in NRL.
Starting with his career in Indian Oil Corporation (Assam Oil Division) in 1985, Mr. S K Barua had joined in NRL as its first permanent employee in 1993 when NRL was set up in accordance with the provisions made in the historic Assam Accord signed on August 15, 1985.
During the last 24 years in NRL, Saumendra Kumar Barua has served at various posts of the oil company and in various locations of the company.
