Eight Senior Executives has been Elevated as DMD, State Bank of India

MUMBAI| NEW DELHI, 25 April 2019: The SBI, India’s largest bank and account almost one fourth of loan market, has elevated his Eight Senior Executives as Deputy Managing Director (DMD). They are  Mr. Alok Kumar Choudhary, Mr. Soma Shankara Prasad, Mr. Keshav Kumar T, Mr. Ashwani Bhatia, Mr. Hare Krishna Jena, Mr. Sandeep Tewari, Mr. Janakiraman Swaminathan and Mr. Sanjiv Chadha.

This move has been taken by SBI Management Board, because some DMD positions have fallen vacant as some executives have moved to other banks while others are set to retire in the course of the next few months.

The SBI Management has now begins the annual appraisal process in April itself and will concludes it by 15 May 2019. Earlier the exercise would involve manual processing, consuming about six to nine months.

The bank has interviewed 27 candidates for DMD positions. While, Interviews for selection of Chief General Managers held on this Monday and Tuesday.

The SBI reported a Net Profit of Rs 3,955 Crore for the Quarter ended December 31 against a loss of Rs 2,416.34 Crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
