India’s Biggest Water Conservation Movement Launched on 2 Oct 2019

New Delhi, 04 October 2019: The Indian National Water Parliament launched India’s Biggest Water Conservation Movement on occasion of 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Swachhata Diwas on 2nd October 2019. Mr. P M Singh, MD & CEO of Indian National Water Parliament, New Delhi informed, while addressing the large no of students and staff at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jaffarpur Kalan, Delhi that at present almost 5,00,000 volunteers, 1000 School & Colleges and University have already joined in this noble mission and the programme has been going on in more than 600 district simultaneously.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has joined in this national mission of water conservation as All India School Partner and in the process on 2nd Oct 2019, all 634 JNV Schools have organized many activities from Slogan Writing, Group Discussion, Painting competition, Rally and Tree Plantation drive in school campus.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Mission for Water Conservation has well taken by Indian National Water Parliament Organization and working in full swing in the line of Hon’ble Prime Minister Vision and Mission for making available sufficient and safe drinking water for all.

Mr. P M Singh informed that the activities on water conservation and rejuvenation of water bodies will continue round the year schedule and hopeful to touch land mark 1 crore volunteers in coming six months time. He said, Dr. Piyush Kumar Rai, Mission Head, Indian National Water Parliament has been working on multi pronge strategy to counter water crisis at present and long term planning to match demand of water for the next generation.
