New Delhi, 28 August 2024: As the Settlement Nodal Agency for Cross Border Trade of Electricity, NVVN organised a two day Capacity-Building Workshop on 22nd and 23rd August’24, for officials from DRUK Green Power Company, Bhutan, and Bhutan Power System Operator.
The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Mohammad Afzal, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, GoI. Ms. Renu Narang, CEO (NVVN), Ms. Yogieta S Mehra Chief, Economics Division, (CERC), Shri Bhaskar Pradhan, Head, Druk Green Electricity Trading graced the occasion with their presence.
The workshop brought together key delegates from Bhutan, ERLDC, Grid India, and NVVN. Subject experts from NLDC, ERLDC, and CERC were also present for detailed discussions with the participants.
Discussions centered around cross-border power trade, the role of NVVN as the Settlement Nodal Agency, optimizing power scheduling, and enhancing grid management between India and Bhutan.
An industrial visit to the NTPC Dadri Plant was also conducted, where delegates were familiarized with Thermal and Gas power plants.
