Rishikesh, 19 September 2024: To commemorate the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, THDC India Limited, a leading Power Sector PSU proactively participated in the nationwide launched Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024 (SHS 2024) from September 17 to October 2, 2024. This campaign, themed “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata,” seeks to reinvigorate the spirit of collective action and citizen involvement in cleanliness efforts throughout India.
Shri R K Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDCIL, announced the organization’s commitment to the campaign through comprehensive series of initiatives and activities at all THDCIL Projects and offices to raise awareness among stakeholders about the critical importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship. On the inaugural day of SHS 2024, Swachhta Pledge Ceremony and Plantation Drive was conducted at all THDCIL’s projects and offices.
Shri Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), administered the Swachhta Pledge to all employees at Corporate Office Rishikesh and emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining cleanliness and urged everyone to actively encourage and motivate those around them to contribute to a cleaner and more prosperous India.
A comprehensive plantation drive across all projects and offices was also conducted, further supporting the campaign’s objective of promoting cleanliness while highlighting THDCIL’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
