New Delhi, 24 September 2024: 811 Engineering Regiment ONGC Territorial Army celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of the Territorial Army with a grand “SURTA Run,” a Marathon organised in collaboration with Decathlon, Vadodara and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.
The run was flagged off from Decathlon Ground, Vadodara. The dignitaries from various spheres of society to include Army, ONGC, Central and State government services and members of local community joined the Marathon. The event also witnessed wholehearted participation from local populace and youth of Vadodara. Col Preena Verma, the first Women Commanding Officer of the unit and Silver Medalist in Asian games, encouraged the youth of Vadodara to join Territorial Army emphasising the pride in serving the nation.
