New Delhi, 07 October 2024: SAIL Steel and BHP are strengthening their ongoing collaboration to explore and promote lower carbon steelmaking technology pathways for the blast furnace route in India. This partnership focuses on reducing GHG emissions and advancing sustainable technologies like hydrogen and biochar for the blast furnace route in India.
In presence of Chairman, SAIL, Shri Amarendu Prakash, the MoU, signed earlier, was exchanged between BHP’s Chief Commercial Officer, Shri Rag Udd and ED, RDCIS, SAIL.
