New Delhi, 14 November 2024: POWERGRID has acquired 2 TBCB project SPVs – ‘Bikaner A Power Transmission Limited’ and ‘Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited’. These projects worth ₹11,326 crore (as per NCT estimations) have been won by POWERGRID through TBCB process. These are part of transmission scheme for evacuation of additional 6 GW RE potential from Bikaner Complex (Bikaner – IV PS).
1st project SPV – ‘Bikaner A Power Transmission Limited’ (with NCT cost of ₹5968 crore) shall execute project comprising of 765/400/220 kV Bikaner IV pooling substation along with STATCOM and MSC/MSR equipment, 765 kV D/C transmission line traversing in Rajasthan & Haryana connecting Bikaner IV to Siwani S/s, 400 kV D/c lines traversing Rajasthan, Punjab & Haryana along with bay extension works in Haryana and Punjab.
2nd project SPV – ‘Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited’ (with NCT cost of ₹5357 crore) shall execute project comprising of new 765/400/220 kV Siwani SS along with STATCOM and MSC/MSR equipment, 765 kV D/C (2nd) Transmission Line traversing Rajasthan and Haryana connecting Bikaner IV and Siwani, 400 kV D/C Transmission Lines traversing Haryana along with bays extension works in Rajasthan and Haryana.
