New Delhi, 13 February 2025: ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL) a 50:50 joint venture between ONGC Green Ltd and NTPC Green Energy Ltd has signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire a 100% equity stake in Ayana Renewable Power for an enterprise value of INR 195 billion (USD 2.3 billion).
Ayana, a leading renewable energy player has approximately 4.1 GW of operational and under-construction assets with an additional 1 GW in the pipeline. This marks ONGPL’s first major acquisition since its inception on 24th November 2024 accelerating its clean energy expansion in alignment with ONGC and NTPC’s Net Zero goals for 2038 and 2050 respectively.
This further strengthens India’s commitment to achieve Net-Zero emissions by 2070 and 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
