Rishikesh, 14 February 2025: THDC India Limited (THDCIL), a leading Power Sector PSU under the Ministry of Power, actively participated in India Energy Week (IEW) 2025, held at Yashobhumi, New Delhi.
As part of the Ministry of Power’s stall, which featured the Power Pavilion and Power Knowledge Zone, THDCIL showcased its achievements and innovations in the Power Sector with a focus of 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant.

Senior officials from THDCIL shared their expertise during panel discussions at the Power Knowledge Zone, emphasizing the critical role of hydropower innovations and grid modernization in driving India’s sustainable energy transition.
Senior officials from THDCIL delivered key insights in sessions at the Power Knowledge Zone, Ministry of Power Stall. In the session titled “Grid as an Enabler to Transition Challenges and Way Forward,” Sh. Neeraj Verma, Chief General Manager (CGM), THDCIL, discussed the challenges and opportunities in grid modernization, emphasizing the critical role of robust grid infrastructure in supporting India’s renewable energy transition.
In another panel on “New Age Hydropower Innovations Driving Sustainable Energy Generation and Pumped Storage Projects (PSP),” Sh. R.R. Semwal, CGM, THDCIL, shared insights into THDCIL’s innovative simulation-based integrated operation of the Tehri Power Complex, highlighting its optimized results and contribution to sustainable energy generation. The session was moderated by Sh. Neeraj Verma, CGM, THDCIL.
