Kolkata, 24 February 2025: The Chairman of Coal India, Shri P M Prasad, met with H. E. Raúl Alejandro Jalil, Governor of Catamarca, Argentina, to discuss Coal India’s diversification into new energy sectors, focusing on critical minerals.
A high-level delegation from Catamarca, including Ministers, Members of the Lower House, and the Argentine Ambassador, H. E. Mr. Mariano Caucino, along with the Indian Ambassador to Argentina, H.E. Shri Dinesh Bhatia and our Director Business Development deliberated the possibility of a Government-to-Government (G2G) collaboration, potentially granting Coal India access to critical mineral blocks in Argentina.
