Lucknow, 14 March 2025: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, NTPC Rihand conducted an apiculture and honey production training program to empower rural women and promote sustainable livelihoods. The program saw active participation from 40 women from nearby Self-Help Groups (SHGs), equipping them with hands-on beekeeping skills. Their efforts culminated in a successful honey extraction session, yielding 40 kilograms of raw honey—a significant step toward economic independence.
This raw honey, branded as Rihand Honey, was officially launched on March 12, 2025, marking a major milestone for the initiative. The launch event celebrated the women’s dedication and reinforced the broader mission of fostering women’s empowerment and community development.
