New Delhi, 21 April 2025: The closing ceremony of Fire Service Week was celebrated at NTPC Solapur. To mark the occasion, Shri M.K. Baby, GM (O&M), along with Shri Naveen Kumar Arora, GM (Maintenance), and other senior officials were present.
Shri M.K. Baby, GM (O&M), emphasized the vital importance of maintaining the health and readiness of fire-fighting systems. He stressed the need for constant awareness among employees, contract workers, and the surrounding community to ensure preparedness and a swift response in the event of a fire emergency. He further highlighted the role of regular mock drills in enhancing readiness to effectively combat fire incidents, thereby safeguarding valuable property and, most importantly, human life.
One of the key highlights of the ceremony was the live demonstration of various fire and rescue drills, including rescue operations, cable gallery fire management, and advanced firefighting techniques using different branches, which captivated the attention of all participants.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Shri Praveen Kumar Singh, Assistant Commandant (CISF), appreciating everyone’s enthusiastic participation and commitment towards fire safety. Prizes were distributed by the dignitaries to all the winners.
