New Delhi, 21 December 2023: On National Energy Conservation Day, Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, presented the Indian Oil National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA)-2023 to Mr. Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman, and Ms Sukla Mistry, Director (Refineries), Indian Oil.
Shri R.K Singh Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri Krishan Pal Union Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries were part of the galaxy of dignitaries present on the occasion at the award function held in Vigyan Bhavan on 15 December 2023.
IndianOil has bagged the First Prize in Petroleum Refining Sector for Guwahati Refinery and Certificate of Merit in Petroleum Refining Sector for Haldia Refinery. The honour recognises these refineries for making significant improvement in specific energy consumption by undertaking innovative sustainable practices for energy saving.
The Ministry of Power, Government of India, recognizes the exemplary efforts on Energy Conservation in the country made by organizations every year, including special efforts to achieve the goal of Nationally Determined Contributions by felicitating them with National Awards.
