New Delhi, 24 December 2024: Shri R K Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC & SJVNL met with Hon’ble Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nepal H.E. Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, at Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi. During the meeting, CMD, NHPC & SJVNL apprised Hon’ble Minister about the current status of NHPC’s projects (800 MW West Seti, 460 MW SR-6 and 624 MW Phukot Karnali HEP) in Nepal.
He also highlighted the various constraints being faced by SJVNL in implementation of 900 MW Arun-3 HE Project. Hon’ble Minister assured her full support for implementing NHPC’s projects in Nepal. She also assured early resolution of issues related to 900 MW Arun-3 for its timely commissioning.
H.E. Acting Ambassador of Nepal to India Dr. Surendra Thapa, Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC, Shri Rajat Gupta, Executive Director (SBD&C), NHPC and Shri R. Agarwal, Executive Director (NHPC Nepal Projects) were also present at the meeting.
