Shimla, 31 January 2025: SJVN, through its registered trust SJVN Foundation, has entered into a strategic partnership with Piramal Swasthya Management & Research Institute (PSMRI) to launch new Mobile
Medical Unit (MMU) in SJVN’s project areas in Arunachal Pradesh.
The agreement was signed in the august presence of Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel) cum Chairman of SJVN Foundation by Sh. Awadhesh Prasad, GM (CSR), SJVN and Sh. Nitin Rathnam Rebba, Senior Program Director, PSMRI, Hyderabad at SJVN Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, stated that this collaboration will play a transformative role in delivering essential healthcare services to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, ensuring access even in remote locations.
SJVN Foundation is the registered trust of SJVN that ensures effective implementation and transparent monitoring of CSR and Sustainability initiatives of the company. The Mobile Medical Unit which is expected to be operational in coming months, will serve as a vital resource in delivering primary healthcare services to communities residing in areas with limited medical infrastructure.
Equipped with essential medical facilities, the MMU will offer services such as free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines and emergency care etc.
This initiative underscores the commitment of SJVN in addressing healthcare challenges in rural and remote regions in the vicinity of project areas. The partnership between SJVN and PSMRI will significantly contribute in improving quality of life and ensuring long-term health benefits for the local populace of Arunachal Pradesh.
