New Delhi, 23 June 2023 : The Public Enterprises Selection (PESB) held interview for the selection of Chairman & Managing Director, NBCC (India) Limited. The PESB has recommended the name of Shri KPM Swamy for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, NBCC (India) Limited. Presently he is serving as Director (Commercial), NBCC.
Shri K P Mahadeva Swamy, Director (Commercial), joined NBCC on 5th September 2005 as Dy. General Manager (Engg.). A person of grit and acumen, he gradually and successfully went up the ladder in the organization to become Senior Executive Director, holding key responsibilities. Shri Swamy joins the present position of Director (Commercial) on February 1, 2023 on his selection and appointment by the Government of India’s ACC. While serving as Senior Executive Director before assuming the charge of Director (Commercial) Shri Swamy had been heading and overseeing execution works of the entire Redevelopment of 7 GPRA Colonies, Hon’ble Supreme Court Monitored “Amrapali Group Works” and New Moti Bagh GPRA Maintenance Works etc.
A professional per excellence, Shri Swamy earned his Degree in Civil Engineering from SJCE, Mysore with distinction and later obtained his M.Tech Degree. He also pursued Executive Programme in Leadership & Management from IIM Calcutta.
During his professional journey with NBCC, Shri Swamy successfully handled many a mega-value, critical, diversified and state-of-art civil engineering projects across the country and these included constructions of Hospitals, Educational Institution and Office Buildings, Indo-Pak Border Fencing works, Gosikhurd Irrigation project etc. He successfully accomplished these assignments on time and with quality, meeting all challenges coming his way. Shri Swamy successfully spearheaded critical departments of the Company such as Law, Business Development, HRM, Tender, Finance etc on many an occasions and in various capacities.
Once posted as CEO of the underperforming HSCL, a Subsidiary of NBCC, Shri Swamy was responsible for turning the company around from a loss-making PSU to first-time profit making and Mini Ratna entity in the last one decade.
In addition to his present position of Director (Commercial) with NBCC, Shri Swamy leads NBCC’s JV Company – Real Estate Development & Construction Corporation of Rajasthan Limited (REDCC), as its Director.
Prior to joining, Shri KPM Swamy had stint with the PSU, BHPV (Bharat Heavy Plates & Vessels Ltd). Indeed, in recognition of his performance in the assigned project, he received “A Certificate of Merit” from CMD-BHPV.
